Rumors are floating around that the recently announced Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 will feature the Boy Wonder himself.
Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 was recently announced at Spike's VGAs but little details have been released since. PlayStation University is reporting that a recent entry on IMDB may reveal that Batman will have Robin fighting alongside him. The IMDB entry lists Vincent Martella as making an appearance as the Boy Wonder. Before you recoil in horror, this might be a good thing. Most people will instantly remember the horrible Batman & Robin movie and assume the awesome new video game franchise will be ruined just like the movie franchise before Christopher Nolan resurrected it. The optimistic people out there believe this might imply the sequel will include co-op play which would be pretty cool. I'm leaning towards trusting that Rocksteady knows what they are doing and that the next game will meet or beat the expectations the original game has set. We will have to wait and see until an official announcement has been made. On a side note, IMDB is also listing Bruce Greenwood as the voice of Two-Face.
Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 hasn't received an official release date yet. It will probably be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC.
Valve officially announced Portal 2 today with what has to be one of the best game teases ever.
Portal 2 has got to be at the top of everybody's most wanted list and Valve has finally answered our pleas for a sequel. The original Portal was released back in 2007 and quickly became many people's Game of the Year. Fans of the game have been waiting patiently ever since and now there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Valve announced Portal 2 with one of the coolest game teases ever. The first step was to update the original game with radios that transmitted Morse code and new ending. Gamers than went to work in the content folders and found hidden messages in the wav files. These hidden messages translated into a phone number near Kirkland, Washington that was set up as a BBS. When people logged into the BBS they found ASCII art that may be the first screenshot from the game and also hints at possible co-operative play. Many sites are pointing towards GameStop's description of the game that also stated it would contain co-op but it was later removed.
Portal 2 will feature new and returning characters, new puzzles, and you will get to explore different areas of Aperture Science. It will obviously include a single player campaign and it may include a multiplayer co-op mode. It will be released this holiday season for Xbox 360 and the PC. Game Informer has revealed their April issue will feature Portal 2.

Originally leaked by a Taiwanese site GNN, Bungie then released the new trailer for all the patiently waiting Halo fans. The first look at Halo: Reach's multiplayer is pretty awesome. It shows off jet packs, new game modes, new weapons, and did I mention jet packs? Any fan of the series is going to be really excited to see of the new shiny things they will get to play with.

Take-Two announced they will be delaying the release of Red Dead Redemption during a first quarter fiscal 2010 earnings report today.
Red Dead Redemption was originally going to be released on April 27th but fans eagerly waiting for its release got some bad news today. During an earnings report, Take-Two's chairman Strauss Zelnick announced they will be pushing back the game's release to May 18th. He stated that it was to extend the time they would need for marketing the game before its release. Like a lot of you I was sad to hear we would have to wait longer to play it but at least it was only pushed out a few weeks and not months like other recent games like Max Payne 3.
Red Dead Redemption will be released on May 18th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Gearbox Software has announced that Borderlands will be releasing a retail package that will include the first two DLC packages by themselves.
Borderlands was a huge surprise hit for Gearbox Software and they have followed that release up with some really cool DLC. Today they announced that a retail bundle will be making its way to store shelves. It will include The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. It will not include the newest DLC, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx however. GameStop has the Xbox 360 and PC versions being shipped on April 1st. No announcement on whether we can expect to see a PlayStation 3 release or not. The retail package will run you $19.99 which is what it would cost you to buy them off of Xbox LIVE right now.
Borderlands' first three DLC packages are available now on Xbox LIVE and PSN.
Avalanche Studios and Square Enix have released a new Just Cause 2 trailer and also announced when we can get our hands on the demo.
Just Cause 2 just looks like fun and this new trailer is a good example why. They are doing a really good job at marketing this game as just a huge island for you to do whatever you want. This new set of trailers entitled, "Anatomy Of A Stunt" demonstrates the crazy stuff that you can try out in the game. They show Rico climbing out of speed plane and grappling over to a fighter plane. He then plants a bomb on the other and opens his parachutes and floats away.
Just Cause 2 is going to be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC on March 23rd. A demo for the game that will give you 35 miles of land to play around in will drop on March 4th. Check out the new trailer after the jump.Read more...
Rockstar Games has released yet another trailer for their upcoming Red Dead Redemption, this time highlighting the women characters in the game.
Red Dead Redemption recently received a new trailer that focused on the game's lawmen. Rockstar Games has quickly followed that up with a brand new trailer that focuses on the women. These don't look to be the normal demure Wild West women you would expect to see but tough as nails women that will bring the fight to bad guys. You can see one that looks to be part of a revolution and one that is taking down a stage coach. The trailer doesn't give out any names but they look to play a major part in the storyline.
Red Dead Redemption is going to be released on April 27th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check out the new trailer after the break.Read more...
Microsoft is still standing by their Christmas 2010 release window for Project Natal but another leak may have narrowed that window down a bit.
We originally reported on a UK based gaming biz site that had Project Natal's release date set for November. Now there is a whole new leak that may have Project Natal coming out even sooner. Jonathan Ross, a British television personality, was given a recent demo of the new Xbox 360 add-on. Ross' son even released a video that showed Ross trying out the ball demo we saw at last year's E3. Many people that have watched the video are pointing out the noticeable lag between his actions and what happens on-screen. After the demo, Ross tweeted about his experience and let slip that Project Natal will be released this October. He also points out that it is "not quite there yet". His full tweet was "OK. Before bed. Natal on X Box impressive. Not quite there yet i think but tye have til october and if they get it right...skys the limit."
No confirmation from Microsoft on the leak so I guess we will just have to wait and see which leak is true.

Rockstar Games is finally starting to show us more footage from Red Dead Redemption as it moves closer to April release.
Red Dead Redemption is a sequel of sorts to Red Dead Revolver that was released way on the first Xbox in 2004. Red Dead Redemption is an open work sandbox game á la Grand Theft Auto style but set in the Wild West. It was announced a year ago but we haven't seen much since then. The new trailer is entitled "The Law" and is centered on the different lawmen you will encounter in the game. I'm pretty excited about this game. Who doesn't want a new GTA game that is set in the Old West?
Rumors have been floating around that the release date might be pushed back but as of now Red Dead Redemption is going to be released on April 27th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Click the break to see the new trailer.Read more...

Ubisoft releases a new Splinter Cell: Conviction trailer that focuses on the game's story.
In previous Splinter Cell: Conviction trailers we got to see Sam Fisher bashing faces off of urinals and necks getting choked. Now with the new trailer we get to see the inspiration behind Sam's rage. The new story trailer gives us the back story that fuels the anger we get to play with and also shows how Sam gets pulled back in to his old job. The rage is very evident in the brutality that Sam shows his enemies and leaves no doubt that you don't want to be on his warpath. I love the new direction the Splinter Cell franchise has taken and I can't wait to get my hands on this game.
Splinter Cell: Conviction is going to be released on April 13th for Xbox 360 and the PC. Check out the new story trailer after the break.Read more...
Avalanche Studios has released a new Just Cause 2 trailer entitled "Gravity" that gives us even more ideas on all of the inventive ways we torment the enemies in their game.
Just Cause 2 is hitting the home stretch and is only a little more than a month out from release. From the very beginning of development, Avalanche Studios has really pushed the idea of total freedom to do whatever you like on their huge island. This idea is perfectly demonstrated in the new Just Cause 2 trailer. We get to see all kinds of cool inventive ways to dispose of enemies and it seems like the only limit is your imagination. My personal favorite is strapping the gas can to the back of an enemy and then shooting the gas tank. When the gas tank takes off into the sky it drags the enemy with him. I can see myself doing this for hours and not even starting the actual storyline of the game.
Just Cause 2 is going to be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC on March 23rd. Check out the new trailer after the jump.Read more...
The PC version of Alan Wake has been in limbo for quite awhile now and Microsoft has finally made an official announcement.
Alan Wake started out as a PC and Xbox 360 game way back when it was announced at E3 2005. Remedy took a break from publishing the PC version in mid 2009 so they could focus on the Xbox 360 version. PC owners hoped that once the Xbox 360 version was finished that maybe Remedy would start production back up for the PC. Unfortunately Microsoft has officially pulled the plug permanently and canceled the PC version entirely. It was stated that the reasoning behind the cancellation was because the "most compelling way to experience Alan Wake was on the Xbox 360 platform". Most people will chalk this one up to yet another nail in the PC games market's coffin, but let's hope that Microsoft truly believes this one should only be on the Xbox 360.
Alan Wake's release date was recently set for May 18th, now exclusive to the Xbox 360
Bungie has released a ton of new gameplay footage from Halo: Reach in a ViDoc that was shown at the recent Microsoft X10 event.
We finally get a good helping of Halo: Reach gameplay footage and it is looking really good. The new Halo: Reach ViDoc is really cool in that we get to hear Bungie talk about everything that they want to put into the game and everything they had to do to reach that goal. Bungie shows off every aspect of the game including building the new models, creating the new environments, the musicians working on the game's score, and the biggest part of the video, Halo: Reach's story. It is really cool to hear how many improvements they have made to the game engine and how that will manifest itself on the screen.
The major focus that Bungie wants to highlight is the game's storyline and how they can best convey that to the player. This touches every aspect the game from the character's facial expressions to how they change the look and feel of the Covenant. Any fan of the video game development process should watch this video because it's very interesting to see how the game's they love are created.
No official release date for Halo: Reach had been announced other than this Fall, but we do know it will obviously be exclusive to the Xbox 360. Microsoft announced that the multiplayer beta that was released with Halo 3: ODST will be available on May 3rd.Read more...
