Klei Entertainment and EA have released a new gameplay video for Shank that shows off the game's co-op play.
Shank is one of the games that just make you smile when you watch it. With its over-the-top action and awesome visual art style, this 2D scroller should be a huge hit when it comes out. The newest gameplay video to be released shows off Shank's co-op play and it looks really cool. It takes me back to the hours and hours spent playing through Contra with a friend. Let's hope it is able to capture that same feeling and if the videos are any indication it has and then some.

RedLynx has announced they will be releasing a new DLC pack for Trials HD, the very addictive motorcycle stunt game on XBLA.
Trials HD was a huge hit on XBLA last year and as anybody who has tried it knows, it is very addicting as well. Originally released back in August of last year, Trials HD received a DLC pack in December that added 23 new tracks and new objects that can be used in the level editor that is included. RedLynx announced they will be releasing a new DLC pack in Q4 of this year called the "Big Thrills Expansion Pack". The new Trials HD DLC will include 40 new tracks from RedLynx plus they are throwing in 10 user-created tracks too. The cool thing is that these tracks haven't been chosen yet and you have a chance to be one of the lucky ones picked. Not to mention you could also win $5000 and some prizes. You have until August 18th to enter the contest.
Atomic Games recently announced their first person shooter Breach and now they have released a walkthrough video that shows off the game's destructible environments.
Breach is a new FPS from developer Atomic Games, they people behind the upcoming Six Days in Fallujah. It will be multiplayer download only game that will be available on Xbox LIVE and the PC. Breach's huge selling point is its destructible environments and I gotta say they look pretty impressive in the walkthrough video. The GameTrailers video was taken at the recent PAX East event where they interviewed Atomic Games' president, Peter Tamte. He walks us through how Breach differs from other FPS's on the market. It will include an Active Cover System that will allow you to shoot multiple ways from cover. The game will also feature real world spy gadgets for you to use but the most impressive thing about the video is the destructible environments. In the video we get to see that you can destroy the environment down to an individual brick. It will allow you take out full structures by taking out support beams. The game looks really cool and I can't wait to see more from the game. It looks like a cross between Modern Warfare 2 and Red Faction: Guerilla. If that interests you at all, you gotta check out the video.
No release date has been given yet for Breach other than early summer but it will be available as an XBLA title on Xbox 360 and the PC. We will let you know when we hear more. Check out the video after the jump.Read more...
Microsoft officially announces Game Room, a retro arcade space for Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows LIVE.
During the recent CES 2010 keynote address, Microsoft announced their new retro arcade space, Game Room. It will allow you to play 1000 retro games and customize your own arcade space while letting you compete against your friends. Each game will have achievements you can play for as well as universal leader boards so you gain bragging rights. You will be able to send out challenges to your friends and they can visit your arcade space to play demos of your games while they are there. The whole concept sounds a bit like Sony's PlayStation Home but a lot more fun.
Microsoft is taking an interesting approach to the pricing plan. Game Room will be free for download and games will cost you between 240 - 400 Microsoft points. They are also letting you play them really old school by plopping down 40 MS points for one play until you die. I'm really curious to see how this pricing plan works out and if other people will try the same approach.
Game Room will be released this spring for Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows LIVE. 30 out of the 1000 promised games have been announced so far including Centipede and Asteroids Deluxe. Check out the launch trailer after the break.Read more...

For anybody who hasn't heard of this game, Shadow Complex follows the story of Jason Fleming and his girlfriend Claire. It is an Unreal Engine 3 powered side-scroller with lots of action and secrets. So far, Shadow Complex is receiving outstanding scores on Metacritic and looks to be one of the best games released on XBLA. It will cost you 1200 MS points but it sounds like it will be well worth the price of admission.
Shadow Complex is going to be released this Wednesday on XBLA. Check out the launch trailer after the break.Read more...
Battlefield: 1943 is available now on Xbox LIVE Arcade and DICE has released an official launch trailer for the game.
