BioWare has given Star Wars: The Old Republic fans the ultimate Christmas present by announcing a release date for the highly anticipated MMORPG.
Star Wars fans have been patiently for Star Wars: The Old Republic to hit store shelves since it was announced almost 3 years ago. That wait is close to being over. BioWare has announced that SWTOR will be arriving on December 20th. This conveniently lines up nicely with the announcement that Star Wars Galaxies servers would be closing on December 15th. Anybody else spell a conspiracy? The upside is there will be a span of 5 days where people could venture outside before settling back in for the long haul.
In addition to the release date announcement, BioWare has released pricing details. SWTOR is going to run you $14.99 a month, $41.97 for 3 months, or $77.94 for six months. Each game will come with a free 30 day subscription though.
