Ubisoft has released an extended version of the Splinter Cell: Conviction gameplay trailer that was shown at the recent TGS 09.
Splinter Cell: Conviction was a huge surprise hit at this year’s E3 and people have wanted to see more of the gameplay since. Ubisoft has graciously released more gameplay footage for us to drool over. The series reboot really looks like it is going to breathe new life into the franchise and if it plays as cool as it looks, it will be another huge hit. The new Splinter Cell gameplay footage gives us more of the new and improved Sam Fisher. The trailer is narrated by Dean Evans, a designer on the new game. He walks us through a smart part of level that demonstrates Sam’s improved combat and how their team has seamlessly integrated the storyline into the game with text and movie overlays. I am always impressed when I see how they do this and I’m sure it will add a lot to the game’s immersion. We also get to see Sam’s new awesome sonar goggles that give the position of enemies around you.
Splinter Cell: Conviction is going to be released February 23rd for Xbox 360 and the PC. Check out the new gameplay footage after the break. Be warned it is a little bit NSFW.
