Ubisoft has announced a new real-time strategy IP called R.U.S.E. The game is being developed by Eugen Systems, the team that created Act of War: Direct Action. R.U.S.E. is scheduled to be released fiscal year 2009/2010 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC.

According to Ubisoft, R.U.S.E. will challenge the players to bluff their competitors and promises to bring a whole new experience into the RTS world. The game will also feature a new engine called IRISZOOM that will allow the player to zoom from a bird's eye view down to the battlefield view in one smooth motion.

Ubisoft has also released a debut trailer for R.U.S.E. It doesn't show any actual gameplay but it does give you a good idea of the direction they hope to deliver with the game. Check out the trailer after the break.
