AT&T announces new details for the upcoming PS Vita’s data plan offerings.
The PS Vita is still set to be released in North America on February 22nd. It is still be available in two flavors, the Wi-Fi and 3G models, but we know have a final data plan from AT&T.
If you buy the 3G PS Vita, AT&T will be offering 2 data plans to choose from. The first will get you 250MB per month and will run you $14.99. The second option gets you 3GB per month but will jump up to $30 bucks. Both plans are on a month by month no contract basis. Originally AT&T had a $25 per month plan for 2GB, but upped that amount to the new 3GB one.
You will be able to use all of the PS Vita’s connectivity services with just the Wi-Fi model, but to take full advantage of the location based services like “Near”, you are going to want the 3G model. The Wi-Fi model will run you $249 and the 3G model is going to cost you $299. Both models will be available in the U.S. starting on February 22nd.
