Nintendo has released the 10 free NES games for those of you that are part of the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program.
Nintendo announced a huge 3DS price drop back in August and to make good to early adopters, they announced the 3DS Ambassador program. For those of you who did buy the Nintendo 3DS early can get some of your free games now. 10 of the 20 free games promised to you are available to download now from the eShop. The first batch of games are the 10 NES ones that include Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. The full NES list is below.
One would hope the process to get your free games would have been straight forward like a button that says “Sorry, here are your free games”. Unfortunately that isn’t the case. To access your free games you have to log into the eShop, click on Menu, scroll to the left and select Settings/Other. You will then see your free games sitting in there like you had already purchased and downloaded them before. The last step is just to re-download them and forget about the whole price drop thing.
