New I Am Alive Details Revealed in CES 2012 Interview

New I Am Alive Details Revealed in CES 2012 InterviewUbisoft reveals new details and gameplay footage of I Am Alive during an interview at the recent CES 2012 event.

Ubisoft’s Creative Director, Stan Mettra, was on hand at CES 2012 this year and was handing out new details on the upcoming game’s story. I Am Alive takes place one year after a catastrophic event and the player has returned to his hometown. The game will feature a stamina system that will affect how you can traverse the area because your player will become tired over time climbing up massive structures and exploring the devastated world. Interacting with the survivors will differ greatly each time and you will never know how people will react to you. Resource management will obviously play a huge part because everything is in limited quantities whether it is food or ammo so you will have to continually be aware of how you are using what you have. Lastly, combat in I Am Alive is a little tricky because once you show your weapon, characters will see you as the enemy and they will attack. Check out the interview video below that does show off some new gameplay footage as well.

No official release date has been announced yet for I Am Alive. We do know however that it will be released during XBLA’s “House Party 2012″, which is expected to run from February 16th to March 16th like last year, but that has yet to be confirmed as well. The PSN version will release shortly after the XBLA release.
