2K Marin and GTTV show off new gameplay footage from the highly anticipated BioShock 2 sequel and release new details about the game.
BioShock 2 is going to be huge when it is released early next year. In the new episode of GTTV, we get to see more gameplay footage for the upcoming sequel. Jordan Thomas, the Creative Director at 2K Marin, gives new details on the single player story and BioShock 2's multiplayer action are revealed as well. The game will take place 10 years after the events from the original BioShock. The villain this time around is named Sofia Lamb. She is the opposite of Andrew Ryan in that she believes that we all have a duty to the world rather than wanting to get away from society. We take on the role of the first Big Daddy this go around and we are in charge of a Little Sister named Eleanor.
On the multiplayer side, it will take place before the events of the first game, during the war for Rapture. Players will be able to level up their characters with every kill and that will in turn, earn them more plasmids. You will top out at level 40 and 2K Marin says that "something special will happen" when you reach that top level.
BioShock 2's release date is going to be February 9th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. Check out the new gameplay footage from GTTV after the break.
