Nintendo has released a trailer for their upcoming port of Myst 3D for the 3DS.
The new Myst 3D for the 3DS will be the next port of one of the best-selling adventure games of all time, Myst. It was released for the first time way back in 1993 for the PC. The new 3DS port will be published by MaximumFamilyGames and will take advantage of the 3D feature to immerse you more in the mysterious world. Unfortunately the trailer below won’t show any of the 3D, but should make anyone that played the original almost 20 years ago nostalgic.
For those that don’t know, Myst is an adventure game that puts you in the role of The Stranger. You are transported to a mysterious island where you must solve puzzles to unravel the mystery around this world and escape. The original Myst helped usher in the mainstream use of CD-ROMs and was a huge hit for Cyan, the original developers. It still sits in list of all time best selling games ever on the PC. The 3DS port will include the original game that was released for PC and will also include the RIME age which was included in realMyst.
Myst 3D is going to be released in March 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS.
