Mass Effect 2 is getting really close to its release date and now BioWare has graced us with a launch trailer to keep us drooling in anticipation.
The Mass Effect 2 launch trailer is really cool and brings a nice dramatic feel with it. It reminded me a little of the trailers we saw for the new Star Trek movie when it was released. It shows us off some more cool gameplay footage from the game and also sums up the basis of the sequel’s story.
Commander Shepard has put together a team of mercenaries to rise up against The Collector’s, the main enemy of the game. As in other trailers this one hits upon whether Shepard will be able to trust his new team and whether or not they will stick by him. There are some character spoilers in the trailer, so consider yourself warned.
Mass Effect 2 is hitting store shelves on January 26th for Xbox 360 and the PC. Check out the launch trailer after the break.
