Lost Planet 2 Announcement Trailer Released

Capcom officially announced Lost Planet 2 today via Xbox LIVE. The producer of Resident Evil 5, Jun Takeuchi, intros the trailer and the director, Kenji Oguro, has a Q&A section at the end where he answers some questions about the game.

During the Q&A section at the end of the video, Kenji gives more details about the game. He reveals that the game takes place ten years after the events of the original Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and it is still on the planet of E.D.N.III. The ice has melted away and now there are new environments like the beautiful jungles in the video. Kenji also reveals that the story will not revolve around a main character like the original game but will follow groups of Snow Pirates. The biggest addition to the game is a co-op mode that a lot of fans were hoping for, me included.

I gotta say, Lost Planet 2 looks amazing. I was a fan of the original game like a lot of you and this game looks to add even more to the original. Most of the video is taken from in-game footage and really looks to impress when it is released. No release date is set at this time, but let’s hope it comes sooner rather than later. Check out the trailer after the break.
