Sony has officially come out and confirmed that LittleBigPlanet Karting is a real thing and is under development.
Rumors of LittleBigPlanet Karting surfaced last week when Future Shop tweeted that Sony just announced a Move compatible racing wheel and that Little Big Planet Cart racing would use it. The tweet was then posted on NeoGaf to mild interest at best. At this point there was no official confirmation that the game was even a real thing.
Well the guessing game is over now that Sony has confirmed that the game is legit. The LittleBigPlanet Karting confirmation comes via the official PlayStation Twitter account. Unfortunately no further details are given at this point, but will probably come pretty soon hopefully.
Many outlets were quick to point out the obvious conflict of interest between LittleBigPlanet Karting and ModNation Racers which was being touted as being the LBP of racing games. We will just have to wait and see how this all pans out when we get more info.
