Little Big Planet 2 Debut Trailer Released

Little Big Planet 2 Debut Trailer ReleasedLittle Big Planet 2 was the worst kept secret but now that it is announced we finally get to see it in action in the awesome debut trailer.

Little Big Planet 2 was denied for a long time and its development leaked multiple times but was finally officially announced in the June edition of Game Informer. Now we get our first look at the sequel now that Sony and Medial Molecule have released the debut trailer. The cool trailer shows off the much improved sequel and really highlights the game’s biggest selling point, the new editor. Media Molecule has greatly expanded LBP’s editor so that you can not only create new levels but also build whole new games. In the trailer we get to see a really cool looking racer, a Space Invaders clone, and a Puzzle Bobble knock-off. We also get to see some of the possibilities that can be created with the new enemy creator that uses Sackbots. It promises to give tons more control to the player to build much more complex characters. This is a really cool debut trailer and reminded me of why I was so excited for the original Little Big Planet and I can’t wait to see what people will create with the sequel. Sony also released a bunch of screenshots and you can check them out in our Little Big Planet 2 gallery.

No firm release date has been given for Little Big Planet 2 other than a Winter 2010 window but we know it will be exclusively for PlayStation 3. Check out the debut trailer after the break.
