Left 4 Dead DLC Free for Xbox 360 and PC

Valve has officially announced that the upcoming Left 4 Dead DLC for Xbox 360 and PC will be completely free. The downloadable content they have dubbed “L4D Survival Pack” will be available this spring.

The Survival Pack is going to include a new multiplayer mode called “Survival” and will also add two new maps to Left 4 Dead’s Versus mode, “Dead Air” and “Death Toll”. The new multiplayer mode Survival will let up to four players try to set records for the amount of time they can survive wave after wave of zombies.

In addition to the Survival Pack, PC users will be getting access to Left 4 Dead’s software development kit. The SDK will give modders the ability to create their own campaigns. I can’t wait to see what people are going to create when this is released. Look for the free DLC to hit sometime this spring.
