Sony has officially announced that a Jak and Daxter HD collection is in fact coming to the PlayStation 3.
It was long rumored and seemed like a no-brainer with all of the HD remakes of classic games hitting big for Sony. The Jak and Daxter Trilogy Edition is next in line to get the HD remake on the PS3. It should do pretty well since the franchise is loved by many fans.
The HD collection was originally outed by a German ratings board and was finally confirmed by Sony to Game Informer. No word on what the collection will contain, but many believe it will include Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3. Sony says we should expect an official reveal soon with more details.
No word yet on when the Jak and Daxter Trilogy Edition will be released, but it will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 when it is.
