Apple finally let everybody off the speculation train and finally announced the iPad 2 today.
The Internet has been out of control with everybody trying to guess when the next iPad would be announced and what it would include. Those days are thankfully over for now or at least until the speculation on the iPad 3 starts up right after this launch.
The iPad 2 was officially announced today by Steve Jobs to everybody’s delight. It will be available for purchase on March 11th. The specs are basically what everybody predicted. It will be thinner, lighter and faster than the first iPad while remaining the same price and battery life which is nice. It will now pack a dual-core A5 processor which should make Angry Birds HD scream. It will feature the front VGA camera and rear facing HD camera that everybody predicted. It will now come in the original black and the brand new white which has to make people waiting on the white unicorn iPhone forever a little sad. Rounding out the announcement was that it will be loaded with iOS 4.3 which will allow you to create a personal hotspot with your iPhone 4.
The iPad 2 will available on March 11th in the U.S.
