Sucker Punch has officially announced the long rumored inFAMOUS 2 and it will be making its way to the PlayStation 3 next year.

The original inFAMOUS was a big hit for PlayStation 3 owners and it was a no-brainer for Sucker Punch to follow up with a sequel. It was long rumored to be in development has officially been announced. The announcement is the cover story in the July issue of Game Informer magazine. It doesn't reveal too much about inFAMOUS 2's story but we know it continues the story of Cole MacGrath but with a new look. The setting for the new story has moved to a new city and there are new powers to be explored as well. I'm sure we can expect to hear a lot more at the upcoming E3 but for now you can check out the latest issue of GI.

No release date for inFAMOUS 2 has been announced but we know it will be exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
