Sony has announced that it will be releasing HD versions of God of War and God of War 2 on one Blu-ray disc this holiday season.

To build even more hype for the upcoming God of War 3, Sony is releasing The God of War Collection. The collection will include God of War 1 and 2 in glorious 720p running at 60 frames per second with anti-aliased graphics. The updated versions will also include trophy support but the best part of the blockbuster collection will only run you $39.99.

Sony has only given out a vague holiday release date so far. I'm excited about the re-release and I think it would be smart if Sony would do this with more of their classic games we can no longer play on the PlayStation 3.
