Epic Mickey 2 Rumored In Development

Epic Mickey 2 Rumored In DevelopmentIt is rumored that Disney is hard at work on Epic Mickey 2 and it may be multi-platform this time around.

Epic Mickey had a ton of expectations put on it when it was released back in 2010 because it had legendary developer Warren Spector at the helm. Unfortunately, it didn’t fully meet those expectations for most reviewers, mostly due to camera issues, but despite that we loved its fun design and story. It did however sell fairly well, but again didn’t meet expectations. A sequel was rumored and hoped for, but was definitely not a guarantee.

Epic Mickey 2 was originally rumored back in August when a survey was sent out that mentioned the sequel, but was not confirmed. The survey mentioned the sequel was in the works and was being worked on for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as the Nintendo Wii.

Besides the multi-platform news, Epic Mickey 2 is rumored to feature 2-player split screen co-op. The co-op will feature Mickey and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Some possible names being thrown around are Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Epic Mickey 2: Mystery on Mean Street, Epic Mickey 2: Return of the Mad Doctor, or just Epic Mickey 2. The last bit of news is that we could be seeing a Fall 2012 release if the survey is to be believed. Check to hear more when we do.
