The original DOOM has been ported to a Flash game that you can play right in your browser. A contributor named Mike at Newgrounds has recreated the game that help usher in the First Person Shooter genre into all of our hearts.
Relive that first time you picked up the shotgun and your smile was as wide as your player’s. For anybody that wasn’t there when a new gaming revolution started, you owe it to yourself to play through this piece of history just once.
Only the first episode, “Knee Deep in the Dead” has been ported, but who’s complaining? Head on over to Newgrounds for some imp killin fun.
