Codemasters debuted the first teaser trailer for DiRT 3 during ESPN’s X-Games this weekend.
DiRT 3 was officially announced back in March and we haven’t heard much about it since then. Codemasters announced last week they would be debuting the first teaser trailer during ESPN’s X-Games over the weekend and sure enough we got our first taste from the game. Unfortunately it is all CG but very beautiful all the same. The DiRT 3 teaser trailer gives us glimpses at what to expect from the game which will feature rain, snow, classic cars, as well as new locations. It will also feature a type of motorsport called gymkhana that you will get a glimpse of right at the end of the trailer when the driver slides under an exploding truck. I’m undecided if this is going to be a good addition to the franchise or not but it looks pretty cool in the teaser. We will just have to wait and see when they release some actual in-game footage.
DiRT 3 is going to be released sometime in 2011. No platforms have been announced yet but I’m sure we can expect it to hit all the major ones next year. Check out the first teaser trailer after the break.
