Did Microsoft Quietly Price Kinect?

Microsoft Kinect PricedMicrosoft’s big announcement for E3 was to fully unveil Project Natal by its new name Kinect and now they may have quietly priced the add-on.

E3 is over for another year and Microsoft’s big announcement was officially naming Project Natal to Kinect. What we didn’t hear is what the add-on was going to cost us. Many sites like Amazon have priced the motion sensor for pre-order at $149.99 but no official price has been announced. Now we can add one more outlet to the rumor mill, Microsoft.com. That’s right, Microsoft’s own store has the add-on costing $149.99. Despite the item being up for quite awhile, Microsoft has yet to confirm the price but if it wasn’t, wouldn’t they take it down at this point? I gotta say they might be pricing themselves out of the motion sensor war at that price point. On top of that they will be pricing their games at $59.99 a piece which seems a little steep. We will just have to see how this all plays out when Sony and Microsoft go head to head again this holiday season.
