EA released the official trailer for Dead Space: Extraction for the Nintendo Wii today, along with a few details about the game's story and characters.

Dead Space: Extraction is a prequel to the game released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last year and it will be released this Fall for the Nintendo Wii. The story is going to reveal details of what happend on the USG Ishimura leading up to the start of the previous game. Space colonists fleeing from an infection at the Aegis VII mining colony will be the main focus of the game.

The trailer doesn't show how EA plans on taking advantage of the Wii's controller. They do say that the game will be played from a first person prospective though. EA also plans and bring co-operative multiplayer gameplay to the franchise, which could be a really cool addition.
