Call of Duty: Black Ops Announced With Debut Teaser Trailer

Call of Duty: Black Ops Announced With Debut Teaser TrailerActivision announced the long rumored 7th installment in the Call of Duty franchise today and GameTrailers TV airs the debut trailer.

A new Call of Duty game was a no brainer for the long running franchise but there many rumors as to where and when it would take place. Activision officially announced the new game today and it is named Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is being developed by Treyarch, the studio behind Call of Duty: World at War. It is set to be released on November 9th, 2010 and has been announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC so far. No big surprise here but the press release confirms it will include dedicated multiplayer and co-op play. The game’s story and locations have not been revealed but earlier today, UK based retailer Game.co.uk gave details that placed it in Vietnam, Cuba, and the Arctic. These have since been pulled but MTV has a screenshot of the posting.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops debut teaser trailer was aired during the recent episode of GameTrailers TV. The trailer shows what looks to be an interrogation and lots of explosions. Very little is given away in the teaser trailer but it looks to have some pretty intense action.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is going to be released on November 9th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the debut teaser trailer after the break.
