Brink Gameplay Videos Released

Brink Gameplay Videos ReleasedSplash Damage, the team behind Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, have released three gameplay videos from their upcoming FPS Brink.

Brink still has a long way to go before its Fall 2010 release but I like what I have seen from the game so far. Brink’s big draw that will help it stand out from all of the other first-person shooters, is it’s SMART technology. It stands for Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain and it will allow you to run, dive, and climb smoothly through levels like Faith in Mirror’s Edge. You will be able to use SMART by holding down a button and then depending upon where you are looking, the system will decide how to react to a certain obstacle. The system looks like it might work pretty well but I am holding my judgment until I can try it out.

In the new gameplay videos a portion of Brink’s Container City is shown off. We get to see the main character sliding and climbing around using the SMART technology. We also get to see another cool thing Brink offers, the character customization. You are able to change your character class at different command posts along the way. With each character class you are also able to change to a different objective on the fly and a waypoint indicator will point the way.

Brink is look pretty cool and I can’t wait to see more from the game. It will be released in Fall 2010 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. Check out the three gameplay videos after the break.
