2K Games has released the first multiplayer trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Bioshock 2 and it looks very cool.
2k Games sparked a bit of a controversy when they announced they would be adding multiplayer to the Bioshock sequel. I, for one, didn’t see the addition as an issue. It just added another reason to pick Bioshock 2 up, not that I needed another one. I would hope after finally seeing the multiplayer in action, it just might change a lot of people’s minds.
The Bioshock 2 trailer looks like typical multiplayer action on the surface until you realize the possibilities that are added by throwing plasmids into the mix. One scenario has a player freezing another player and then sprinting through them causing the ice to explode. Another scenario has a player using his telekinesis to toss propane tanks at other players. The possibilities are endless and it looks like a lot of fun. I can’t wait to jump in the ring and try it out.
Bioshock 2 is going to released sometime in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the multiplayer action after the break.
