Battlefield 3 Open Beta Date Announced

Battlefield 3 Open Beta Date AnnouncedEA and DICE announced the open beta date for Battlefield 3 along with some details on how to gain access.

Battlefield 3 is exactly one month away before it hits store shelves. To make sure it is ready for the onslaught of players, EA and DICE are looking to give their servers a good stress test with an open beta coming next week starting on September 29th.

There are several ways to gain access to the Battlefield 3 multiplayer open beta. If you pre-ordered the Battlefield 3 – Limited Edition PC digital download, registered your Medal of Honor: Limited Edition/Tier 1 Edition, or picked up MOH from Steam before July 26th you could gain early access on September 27th. For Xbox 360 users you will receive an email with an access code. For PlayStation 3 users, you will gain access through PSN when it shows up there. PC users will also receive an email with their access code through Origin.

The Battlefield 3 beta will run from September 29th through October 10th and will include one game mode, Rush, and one map to play it on, Operation Metro. Caspian Border will also be available in the beta but only for internal testing for selected users. Some leaked footage believed to be from the beta shows off the gorgeous Caspian Border map. Battlefield 3 is going to be released on October 25th for PC, Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3.
