Battlefield 3 iOS Revealed in Gamescom 2011 Video

Battlefield 3 iOS Revealed in EA Mobile TrailerA previously announced iOS port of Battlefield 3 is revealed in a German gamescom 2011 video.

Battlefield 3 is gunning for the top spot of the FPS Mountain this holiday season and if you’ve seen any of the gameplay footage released so far, it should leave little doubt that it has a good shot at it. Now it seems we may have another opportunity to play the game on a totally different platform.

The iOS version of Battlefield 3, now officially called Battlefield: Aftershock, was shown very briefly in a EA Mobile trailer that also includes footage from Madden NFL 12, Need for Speed: The Run, and FIFA Soccer 12. Don’t blink your eyes though or else you’ll miss it. The footage starts at the 0:23 second mark and only lasts for a brief second.

The new footage doesn’t give a lot of details about the game, but it does show us a lot more gameplay than we had before. It will not be a direct port of the upcoming Battlefield 3, but will instead be a completely separate release. We do know it will be available for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad when it’s released along side the full game in October.

Battlefield 3 is going to be released on October 25th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and the Wii U at some point.
