Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 Announced

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 AnnouncedRocksteady has announced they are currently developing a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is hands-down one of the best super hero games ever made.

For anybody that watched Spike’s Video Game Awards last night you heard the announcement and saw the debut trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2. No official name was given to the sequel yet but it is safe to say it will be something along those lines. The debut trailer for the game started off the night of a 1000 announcements last night and it was a good one. Rocksteady has been coy about whether they would be working on a sequel to one of the best games of the year, but the announcement shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone considering everybody loved the first one. The trailer is pretty short but it does show off inmates from Arkham rioting through Gotham City and The Joker with Harley Quinn. Other than the quick teaser to say they are in fact working on the game, not much info is available right now. The game’s official site is now live and you can check it out at arkhamhasmoved.com.

No official release date or platforms were given for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 but I’m sure we can expect it to at least come out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC just like the first game. Check out the debut teaser trailer after the jump and then anxiously wait for any more news like us.
