Assassin’s Creed 3 Location Revealed

Assassin's Creed 3 Location RevealedUbisoft has revealed new details to the recently announced Assassin’s Creed 3 and it will continue the story from the previous game.

Assassin’s Creed 2′s sales have reached 8 million worldwide and Ubisoft is wasting no time on the game’s follow-up. Assassin’s Creed 3 was announced last month by Ubisoft in a press release and they revealed that it would be out during the 2010-2011 fiscal year. During a third quarter financial call, Ubisoft has revealed more details about the game. We already knew that it would include a multiplayer mode and that it would again star ACII’s Ezio. Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guilletmot announced today that the new game will take place in Rome. He stated that this time Ezio will “strike directly at the heart of the Templars order in Rome”. He also mentioned the game’s multiplayer mode that “players will also be able to challenge their friends in a very innovative assassination multiplayer.” We will have to wait to see exactly what that will mean when more details are released.

We expect Assassin’s Creed 3 to be here hopefully this holiday season but no official date has been given yet. I’m sure we can probably expect it to be announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC like previous games.

[UPDATE] This was actually an announcement for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and not for Assassin’s Creed 3. We are still waiting to hear about the true third installment in the best-selling franchise.
