Hulu Officially Coming To PlayStation 3 And Xbox 360

Hulu Officially Coming To PlayStation 3 And Xbox 360Hulu has officially announced their plans for a premium service and it will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Hulu has long been rumored to make its way to the consoles and users have been anxiously waiting for that expected announcement. It finally happened today when Hulu officially announced their plans to create a new premium service called Hulu Plus. It will allow users access to full seasons of hit shows like Modern Family and 30 Rock. It will also give you access to watch complete series of older shows like The X-Files and Arrested Development. The downside is that it will cost $9.99 a month but depending on what you are paying for television now this may be the first real alternative.

The best part of the announcement for gamers was that this new premium service is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It should be making its way to PlayStation 3 starting in July but Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until early 2011. On the plus side, the Xbox 360 version will be a custom experience that will take advantage of Xbox LIVE's social community and the recently unveiled Kinect. You will have to have an Xbox LIVE Gold account to access the service though. No word on whether you will need to have a PSN Plus account to access it on the PlayStation 3.

Dead Rising 2 Release Date Delayed Again

Dead Rising 2 Release Date Delayed AgainFans looking forward to Dead Rising 2 received some sad news today when Capcom announced they are delaying the release date again.

The original Dead Rising was released early on in the life of the Xbox 360 and turned out to a huge surprise hit for Capcom. Fans of the original game were really excited when a sequel was announced in early 2009 but unfortunately the original release date was pushed back to August of this year. Capcom has again delayed the release date to September 28th. No word on whether this will affect the release of the Xbox 360 exclusive download Case Zero that will work as a bridge between the two games. No official release date was given for Case Zero but it was said that it should be out 4 to 6 six weeks before the release of Dead Rising 2. No reason for the delay was given but if they just need a little more time to polish the game than a little wait will be worth it.

Dead Rising 2 is now going to be released on September 28th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC.

New Crysis 2 Gameplay Footage Released

New Crysis 2 Gameplay Footage ReleasedCrytek has released some new Crysis 2 gameplay footage and it looks amazing.

Crytek is looking to make a huge splash in the console market with the upcoming Crysis 2. They were at the recent EA event at E3 2010 and showed off new gameplay footage that looked amazing.

The new Crysis 2 gameplay footage has a very Cloverfield sort of feel to it and seems to fit well with the game's environment. The new trailer that was released is the same gameplay that was demoed at the recent E3 event. In it we get to see the new Pinger in action stalking you as you try to take it down. The action takes you in out of buildings in this clip of the game as you fight your way to a safe zone. Some vehicle gameplay is also shown as you high-tail out of there before a building collapses down on top of you. Really exciting trailer that highlights the game's beautiful graphics and action perfectly. Well worth a watch.

Crysis 2 is going to be released this holiday for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the new gameplay footage trailer after the break.Read more...

Twisted Metal PS3 Announced With Gameplay Trailer

Twisted Metal PS3 Announced With Gameplay TrailerSony had a nice surprise announcement at the recent E3 2010. Twisted Metal is coming back in a big way on the PlayStation 3.

A new Twisted Metal game had long been rumored to be in development and denied by its creator David Jaffe. That was all before he came out on stage at Sony's E3 2010 press conference and dropped the bomb.

The new PlayStation 3 exclusive Twisted Metal game will feature 16 players online and 2-4 player local split screen action. As you can see from the gameplay video they released it will feature all new vehicles and weapons to play with. There are quite a few crazy weapons on display including what appears to be remote control gurney with patient attached that you can explosively drive into other players and a hearse that can shoot coffins. Helicopters are another awesome addition to the franchise and you can see them raining bullets down from above in the video. Sweet Tooth will obviously make his triumphant return and it looks like his vehicle can now transform into a gun wielding robot. The gameplay looks awesome and fans of the series should be really excited about the announcement.

No official released date for the new Twisted Metal game except for sometime in 2011 but it will be exclusively released on the PlayStation 3. Check out the gameplay trailer after the jump.Read more...

Rage E3 2010 Walkthrough Video Released

Rage E3 2010 Walkthrough Video Releasedid Software was at the recent E3 event demoing their upcoming first person shooter/racing game Rage and now you can check it out in this new walkthrough video.

Rage is id Software's next huge hit and it has been in development for a long time. It was originally announced 3 years ago and we still have to wait till next year before it is released. Since it was announced we haven't seen nearly enough gameplay footage from the game but Tim Willits, id's Creative Director, was demoing the game at E3 this year.

In the gameplay video we get to see Rage in all its beautiful glory. The game takes place in the future after an asteroid hits the earth and turns most of it into a wasteland. Right off the bat we get to see some of the weapons from Rage including the Wingstick that takes a mutant's head off. After he takes out a few more mutants with a machine gun we get to see the driving part of the game that switches seamlessly between the two types of games. We also get to check out an awesome rocket launcher and an electric bow that allows you to fry people who are unlucky enough to be standing in water. They also show off a cool little RC bomb car that you can build and control to take out enemies from afar. It's a cool walkthrough video with lots of gameplay footage and definitely worth a look.

No official release date for Rage has been announced yet other than sometime next year but we know it is going to be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. We can expect to see more at the upcoming QuakeCon but for now you can check out the two walkthrough videos after the break.Read more...

Did Microsoft Quietly Price Kinect?

Microsoft Kinect PricedMicrosoft's big announcement for E3 was to fully unveil Project Natal by its new name Kinect and now they may have quietly priced the add-on.

E3 is over for another year and Microsoft's big announcement was officially naming Project Natal to Kinect. What we didn't hear is what the add-on was going to cost us. Many sites like Amazon have priced the motion sensor for pre-order at $149.99 but no official price has been announced. Now we can add one more outlet to the rumor mill, Microsoft.com. That's right, Microsoft's own store has the add-on costing $149.99. Despite the item being up for quite awhile, Microsoft has yet to confirm the price but if it wasn't, wouldn't they take it down at this point? I gotta say they might be pricing themselves out of the motion sensor war at that price point. On top of that they will be pricing their games at $59.99 a piece which seems a little steep. We will just have to see how this all plays out when Sony and Microsoft go head to head again this holiday season.

Kid Icarus: Uprising Debut Trailer

Uprising Debut TrailerNintendo finally answered a lot of old school gamers' prayers when they announced Kid Icarus: Uprising with a debut trailer.

It has been a long time coming and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there weren't even born when the first Kid Icarus came out back in 1987 for the NES. Nintendo made a lot of people happy when they announced Kid Icarus: Uprising at E3 and that it will be released as a launch title for the newly unveiled 3DS.

Not much is known about the story yet except that will again take control Pit as he takes on the Goddess of Dark Medusa with the help of Palutena, the Goddess of Light. As you can see from the debut trailer, the new game will be in 3D and will include Pit soaring through the skies taking on enemies. I think this is going to be huge hit with old school gamers that have been waiting a long time for a true sequel when the Nintendo 3DS is released. Check out the Kid Icarus: Uprisingdebut trailer after the break.Read more...
