Splinter Cell: Conviction Launch Trailer Released

Conviction Launch Trailer ReleasedSplinter Cell: Conviction's release is right around the corner so enjoy the launch trailer goodness that Ubisoft has released.

The new Splinter Cell: Conviction has been coming for a long time now but final release date is almost here. You wouldn't be alone if you were still in shock that the game is almost here. With all of the delays we have had to endure along its development cycle, some wondered if we would ever get to play the newest installment in the best selling franchise. There are only a couple more weeks before the game hits store shelves and now we get a really nice launch trailer to drool over.

In the Splinter Cell: Conviction launch trailer we really get to see Sam Fisher's anguish and his drive for revenge. We've talked about how much more brutal this game will be in comparison to earlier games and it really shows. You definitely don't want to be on the losing side of one his interrogations. There are quite a few examples of people that needed some extra encouragement to talk in the trailer. It is a very cool trailer and definitely worth a look even if just for the awesome Jonny Cash song.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is going to be released on April 13th on Xbox 360 and PC. There are also rumors about a PlayStation 3 version but nothing confirmed. Check out the launch trailer after the break.Read more...

First Footage Of Atomic Games' Breach Released

First Footage Of Atomic Games' Breach ReleasedAtomic Games recently announced their first person shooter Breach and now they have released a walkthrough video that shows off the game's destructible environments.

Breach is a new FPS from developer Atomic Games, they people behind the upcoming Six Days in Fallujah. It will be multiplayer download only game that will be available on Xbox LIVE and the PC. Breach's huge selling point is its destructible environments and I gotta say they look pretty impressive in the walkthrough video. The GameTrailers video was taken at the recent PAX East event where they interviewed Atomic Games' president, Peter Tamte. He walks us through how Breach differs from other FPS's on the market. It will include an Active Cover System that will allow you to shoot multiple ways from cover. The game will also feature real world spy gadgets for you to use but the most impressive thing about the video is the destructible environments. In the video we get to see that you can destroy the environment down to an individual brick. It will allow you take out full structures by taking out support beams. The game looks really cool and I can't wait to see more from the game. It looks like a cross between Modern Warfare 2 and Red Faction: Guerilla. If that interests you at all, you gotta check out the video.

No release date has been given yet for Breach other than early summer but it will be available as an XBLA title on Xbox 360 and the PC. We will let you know when we hear more. Check out the video after the jump.Read more...

Cam Footage Of Dead Space 2 Surfaces

Cam Footage Of Dead Space 2 SurfacesCam footage of Dead Space 2 that was pulled from the Ustream of the recent PAX East event has surfaced.

Dead Space 2 is the follow up to the surprise survival horror hit of 2008. It was announced back in December and was Game Informer's January cover story as well. Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis, said that the Dead Space sequel will be more focused on action and it is very apparent from the cam footage. At the recent PAX East event in Boston, someone captured some brief footage of Dead Space 2 that was being shown to show attendees. In the footage we can see Isaac Clarke flying down a narrow corridor with what look to rocket boots. It's not the greatest footage but it does show off some pretty intense flying action. Overall the footage is pretty short but worth the quick look.

No release date has been set for Dead Space 2 but it will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC sometime in Q1 2011. Check out the cam footage after the break.Read more...

All of the characters you know and love make an appearance in new trailer. Like previous trailers, this one looks like a lot of fun and shows that they have really captured the look and feel of the Harry Potter world. Nintendo Announces The Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo Announces The Nintendo 3DSNintendo has confirmed the rumors that they will be releasing a new DS soon and even threw in a nice curveball.

Nintendo has finally come out and officially announced they are developing a follow-up to the hugely successful Nintendo DS. The new handheld console is temporarily being called the Nintendo 3DS. It will be able to 3D games without the need for 3D glasses apparently. It will be backwards compatible so it will play any current Nintendo DS or DSi game. Not much else is known at this point. Nintendo will be giving more details on the new handheld at this year's E3. I'm really curious to hear how they will be able to deliver 3D games without the glasses and I hope they can let the TV manufacturers in on their little secret. No official word on whether it will include the rumored motion controls or not.

The Nintendo 3DS will be released during the fiscal year between April 2010 and March 2011. We can expect to hear more news this June at E3 2010. I would venture to guess we have a pretty good chance of seeing it this holiday season. We will just have to wait and see though. What do you guys think? Are you excited about the Nintendo 3DS?

Conviction Demo And New Gameplay Video ReleasedUbisoft has released the demo for Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox LIVE along with some new multiplayer gameplay footage.

Splinter Cell: Conviction will serve as a reboot of sorts for the Splinter Cell franchise. It will be much darker and violent than previous versions as you will see very early on in the demo. The different direction will be very apparent when you are interrogating a suspect in a bathroom and as you're not getting the answers you want, you pick where you would like to slam his head into. There are many new improvements in the new game that you get to play around with in the demo. The Mark and Execute move allows you to tag enemies and take them out the click of a button. The new Sonar Goggles allow you see through walls and even mark them as well. We also get to see the cool new way that objectives are projected onto the walls and it's a really cool way to keep you in the game. The demo is great and gives you a really good taste of the game.

The new Splinter Cell: Conviction multiplayer gameplay footage shows off some awesome co-op play that looks like a lot of fun.

Crackdown 2's development looks to be coming along nicely from the new multiplayer video they've released. We get see snippets from the game with interviews with the developers sprinkled in. The new multiplayer footage shows all of the chaos we can cause during the new 4 player co-op mode. It looks insanely fun being part of 4 player gang just causing destruction throughout the city. The developers also mention a game mode called "Rocket Tag" that looks awesome. They have built in vehicles that will allow all four players to ride on at the same time and take out people on all sides. The original Crackdown was a lot of fun and I have no doubt we can expect even more the next time around.

New Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Gameplay Trailer And Release Date Announced

Dog Days Gameplay Trailer ReleasedEidos has released the first gameplay trailer from Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days and announced a release date for the game.

We haven't seen much of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days since its announcement. Eidos released a couple of weird short teaser trailers around the announcement that captured the two criminals on surveillance cameras. Eidos has said they are looking to create a much more intense gaming experience this time around. You can tell from the first Kane & Lynch 2 gameplay footage they are sticking to that promise. We get to see Kane and Lynch in the underbelly of Shanghai China chasing after a naked dude and then ending up in an intense firefight. The game's camera adds that Saving Private Ryan feel that gets you down into the action. I think the gameplay footage looks pretty promising and I can't wait to see more.

Along with the gameplay trailer, Eidos has announced that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is going to be released on August 24th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the first gameplay footage after the break.Read more...

Just Cause 2 Launch Trailer Released

Just Cause 2 Launch Trailer ReleasedAvalanche Studios' eagerly anticipated sequel Just Cause 2 is coming next week and now we get one last action packed trailer to hold us over.

Just Cause 2's release date is right around the corner so Avalanche Studios and Eidos have released a launch trailer for their upcoming sequel. Just Cause 2 received the demo treatment on March 4th and it was announced that over two million of you have downloaded it. The launch trailer and the demo perfectly capture what this game has to offer. Few games have been able to capture the true sandbox game feel like the Grand Theft Auto series but Just Cause 2 is looking to pick up that torch. I've spent more time just playing around in the GTA games than I did on the actual games and Just Cause 2 has that same feeling. It looks to be a huge time suck when it comes out next week and I can't wait.

Just Cause 2 is going to be released on March 23rd for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the launch trailer after the jump.Read more...
