God Of War 1 And 2 Coming To The PlayStation 3

Sony has announced that it will be releasing HD versions of God of War and God of War 2 on one Blu-ray disc this holiday season.
To build even more hype for the upcoming God of War 3, Sony is releasing The God of War Collection. The collection will include God of War 1 and 2 in glorious 720p running at 60 frames per second with anti-aliased graphics. The updated versions will also include trophy support but the best part of the blockbuster collection will only run you $39.99.
Sony has only given out a vague holiday release date so far. I'm excited about the re-release and I think it would be smart if Sony would do this with more of their classic games we can no longer play on the PlayStation 3. New Modern Warfare 2 Footage Leaked

Leaked footage of Modern Warfare 2 has hit the Internet and we are drooling over the blurry cam footage.
To say that Modern Warfare 2 is highly anticipated is a huge understatement. Many people are predicting its November release is going to biggest video game release ever. That is why we are excited to even be squinting at some blurry new leaked footage of the game. The video was shown at a Game Crazy company event and was posted on PlayStation LifeStyle. It shows off a completely new area of the single player campaign that we haven't seen before. It's not nearly long enough but it has you fighting through a war torn city with your squad.
Blurry footage or not, it's good to see some more of this game to whet our appetites. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on November 10th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. Check out the new leaked footage after the break.Read more...
Microsoft Confirms Xbox 360 Elite Price Drop

Microsoft confirms the Xbox 360 Elite will be receiving a price drop this Friday just in time to beat the new PlayStation 3's release.
We did a story last week about a rumored Xbox 360 Elite price drop and once again the rumor mill was right on. Microsoft confirmed today they are dropping the price of the Elite down to $299 to match the new PS3 Slim. They also confirmed that the Xbox 360 Pro will receive a price drop down to $249 until they are sold out. The Xbox 360 Arcade will remain at the $199 price point. Major Nelson made the official announcement on his site today.
With the announcement, this will finally pit the PS3 Slim and the Elite in true head to head battle. It will be interesting to see how the console war plays out during this upcoming holiday season.

Microsoft is giving you the chance to play Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Game against Megan Fox on Xbox LIVE.
For the few people who didn't see the Transformers movies, Megan Fox played Mikaela Banes. This Saturday at 5:30PM ET, Gold Xbox LIVE members can sign on and play against Megan Fox at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Game. The promotion is part of Microsoft's Game with Fame that pits celebrities against the common folk. Megan Fox will be playing the new Character and Map Pack Plus add-on for the game so you must own that as well.
To join in on the fun you must be a Gold Member and log in to Xbox LIVE by 5:30PM ET on August 29th. You then need to send a friend request to the Gamertag 'Megan Fox 2009' and then hope you are one of the chosen.
New Just Cause 2 Trailer Released

Avalanche Studios has released a new trailer for Just Cause 2 at the recent GamesCom event.
The new Just Cause 2 trailer gives us a glimpse at the wide range of beautiful scenery the game offers. The video is a kind of mock travel commercial that displays the beauty of the fictional island of Panau where the game takes place. It also gives us some more glimpses of the destruction that we can bestow upon this beautiful island.

New Assassin's Creed 2 Gameplay Screenshots Released

Ubisoft has released new screenshots from Assassin's Creed 2 from the recent GamesCom.
The new Assassin's Creed 2 screenshots show us some new gameplay elements that will hopefully show up in the game. Nighttime gameplay will be making an appearance this time around and it looks like we might get the chance to drive a stagecoach. The new screenshots also show that our allies may be fighting for us rather than just playing interference. Ubisoft also released some pretty cool concept art along with the screens that show off some of the beautiful locales we will get to visit in the game.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves GamesCom Trailer

Naughty Dog has released a new trailer for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at the recent GamesCom conference.
The new Uncharted 2 trailer shows off more of the single player campaign and its gorgeous locales. It looks just as good as the rest of the trailers that have been released and helps build more hype for this game if that is even possible at this point. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to grab everybody's Best of 2009 Award and each new trailer that is released makes that more and more likely.
Uncharted 2 is going to hit stores shelves on October 13th, exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Check out the GamesCom trailer after the break.Read more...
Dead Nation Debut Trailer Released

Super Stardust HD developer Housemarque has announced their new PSN exclusive title Dead Nation and released a debut trailer.
Super Stardust HD was a huge hit for the developer and they are looking to follow that up with Dead Nation, an awesome new zombie killing action game. Dead Nation looks amazing with its cool lighting and explosions. It also looks to be action-packed and a lot of fun. It will feature online and offline 2 player co-op play which should be pretty cool. Dead Nation will also feature hundreds of zombies on screen at once which I'm sure with add help add to the hectic action.
Dead Nation does not have a released date yet but we do know that it will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and will be available on the PSN. Check out the debut trailer after the jump.Read more...
World Of Warcraft Expansion Cataclysm Announced With Trailer

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new expansion for World of Warcraft titled Cataclysm.
At the recent BlizzCon 2009, the newest expansion to the WoW universe, Cataclysm, was revealed. The expansion will add 2 new playable races, the Goblins for the Horde faction and the Worgen for the Alliance faction. Cataclysm will also raise the level cap up to 85 and add 100s of new quests. A new secondary skill called Archaeology is being created. Blizzard will be adding a new guild leveling system as well as new monsters, dungeons, raids, and achievements.

Xbox 360 Elite Price Drop Leaked?

The Xbox 360 Elite is rumored to be getting a price drop on August 30th from $399 down to $299 to match the recent PlayStation 3 price drop.
Kotaku was sent an ad from an upcoming Walmart catalogue and it lists the Xbox 360 Elite at $299. If this ad is real, this puts the Elite neck and neck with the newly announced PlayStation 3 Slim and the current PlayStation 3 models. Will Blu-Ray give Sony the edge? We will just have to wait and see how this plays out in about a week.
The rumored price drop for the Xbox 360 Elite is August 30th and the PlayStation 3 is currently $299 along with the PS3 Slim arriving on September 1st.
